Performance Characteristics
High Heat Transfer Efficiency
Heat transfer coefficient of 1300-4000 kcal/(m²*°C*h), reaching up to 5000 kcal/(m²*°C*h) maximum. Transfers 6-7 times more heat than shell-and-tube exchangers at same pressure loss.
Compact Design
Plate spacing of only 2-8 mm with heat exchange area up to 250 m² per cubic meter. Requires only one-third the space of tube heat exchangers.
Operational Flexibility
Easily adjust heat transfer area by adding/reducing plates. Reconfigure plates for new process combinations to adapt to changing requirements.
Wide Application Range
Handles various media from water to high-viscosity liquids and suspensions with fibers. Suitable for heating, cooling, condensation in continuous processes.
Low Metal Consumption
Only 7-7.7 kg of metal per square meter for herringbone corrugated plates, lower than equivalent shell-and-tube exchangers.

Detachable Plate Heat Exchanger Operation
Composed of multiple corrugated heat exchange plates sealed with gaskets and compressed by clamping studs. Media enters through corner holes into alternating flow channels separated by plates. Hot and cold fluids flow counter-currently, transferring heat through the plates for efficient temperature exchange.
