Product Overview: HAA 4003 High-Voltage Three-Phase Induction Motor

The HAA 4003 is a 6 kV air-to-air cooled (IC611) high-voltage three-phase induction motor from the MARATHON HAA series, manufactured to IEC standards with a welded-steel frame. Rated at 400 kW, 4-pole, 1486 rpm and 50 Hz, it is foot-mounted (B3) and coupling-driven, engineered for continuous (S1) duty on large fans, pumps and compressors. Its core strengths are the elimination of external cooling water, built-in online temperature monitoring, and a light yet rigid welded-steel frame.

IC611 air-to-air cooling with welded steel frame: closed-loop internal air circulation paired with an external air-air heat exchanger; no external cooling-water connection is required — ideal for sites with scarce or poor-quality water, or where water piping is unwanted. The steel construction is lighter than a cast housing and more vibration-resistant.
Class F insulation + IP55 protection: high-voltage windings resist moisture and contamination, making the motor ready for dusty, humid workshops.
Full online temperature monitoring (wirable to the protection system): 2 × 3-wire Pt100 per phase in the windings (6 in total) and 1 × Pt100 per bearing (2 in total), enabling real-time winding and bearing temperature monitoring for predictive maintenance.
Anti-condensation winding heater: 220–240 V heater prevents moisture buildup during standstill and insulation drop after long idle periods.
Imported bearings: SKF / FAG deep-groove ball bearings with Mobil or compatible grease for stable running and long service intervals.
Terminal boxes & nameplate: main box on the non-drive-end right side; auxiliary box with 4 × M16 threaded entries; stainless-steel nameplate that resists corrosion outdoors and in industrial settings.
