Gaskets are equipped around the plates and compressed and fixed by clamping studs. The holes at the corners of the plates form a continuous medium channel. The plates are arranged in an alternating manner, so that the two kinds of fluids (cold and hot) enter their exclusive channels respectively and are completely separated by the plates. A countercurrent flow mode is adopted under normal working conditions.

During the heat exchange process, the hot medium transfers heat energy to the metal plates, which in turn conduct the heat energy to the cold medium on the other side, completing the efficient heat exchange. Finally, the hot medium is cooled down and the cold medium is heated up to achieve the intended use effect.
